Can PostPal also be used to acquire new customers?

Yes, if you upload the addresses to PostPal by CSV and create a campaign for that segment. Make sure you have consent to contact these prospects with advertising, for example because they agreed to marketing contact through a giveaway. PostPal is not responsible for checking whether your addresses have valid consent.

Can I trigger and automate campaigns?

Yes. Connect a Klaviyo segment or the PostPal API. Once you have an active campaign that uses this segment, a mailing is triggered whenever the minimum send quantity is reached.

Set it up once and let PostPal handle the rest automatically.

Are addresses checked before sending?

With the “Address check & cleanup” add-on, PostPal checks your addresses before each mailing. First, we check whether the format is valid and remove entries with obvious issues, for example swapped house numbers and street names. Then we filter known undeliverable addresses, such as parcel stations.

This helps reduce costs and can noticeably improve the ROI of your campaign.

Can postcards also be sent internationally?

Yes. PostPal ships across Europe. For Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Italy and France, you can select the destination country directly in the segment. For delivery to other European countries, contact us.

How much does it cost to send postcards with PostPal?

Depending on your package and send volume, you can send DIN A6 postcards with PostPal from 0.49€ including postage, printing and delivery. You can find the current prices in the pricing calculator.

How does payment work?

You can pay in advance or, after review, by invoice. You can also top up credit by credit card and use it for your campaigns.

After each mailing, you receive an invoice for your accounting.

Is there a minimum send quantity?

Yes. Mailings currently start at a minimum quantity of 500 pieces. This keeps postage costs low because Dialogpost Easy from Deutsche Post can be used from 500 pieces.

If you still want to send a smaller batch, contact us. Our team will find a solution for your use case. The additional postage costs would be charged to you in that case.

Which companies does PostPal work best for?

PostPal works best when you use Klaviyo for your marketing. The direct integration makes data import simple and campaign measurement fully automated. If you use another tool or system, that is also fine: you can upload a CSV file with delivery addresses to PostPal or connect the API and segment directly in the editor.

As with any marketing channel, it helps if you send enough postcards to evaluate and optimize performance realistically. In our experience, this is usually the case for most DTC brands from around 1 million euros in annual revenue. Beyond statistics, keep in mind that PostPal sends campaigns from 500 postcards so you can use Dialogpost Easy economically. If you are interested in smaller quantities, contact us.

If you do not run an e-commerce shop but still want to send postcards to customers, that is possible too. You can use the PostPal platform through CSV upload or API.

How is campaign performance measured?

PostPal measures campaign performance through voucher redemptions, responder matching and, for larger mailings, incremental lift through control groups. If a customer was imported through a Klaviyo segment, PostPal also checks automatically whether that customer purchases within 60 days.

Direct mail has a much longer conversion window. According to the CMC Print Mailing Study 2022, 51 percent of orders triggered by print mailings reach online shops five weeks or later after delivery. This also shows that print campaigns can create stronger advertising impact and brand awareness than online channels.

Which integrations are currently available?

  • Klaviyo integration: Create automated campaigns and manage your segments directly in Klaviyo.
  • API: Connect PostPal directly to your system to automate segments and campaigns.
  • CSV upload: Use manual address lists for your mailings.

Design & formats

Which formats are available?

You can currently send mailings in the postcard formats DIN A6, DIN long and DIN Maxi, as well as letter formats DIN A4 one-sided and DIN A4 two-sided.

On request, we can also offer handwritten postcards and letters. If you are interested in additional formats, contact us. Our e-commerce team will help find the right option for you.

Which material is used for postcards?

By default, postcards are printed on 300 g/m² art board without finishing. As additional options, you can upgrade to chromo board at 300 g/m² or recycled board at 300 g/m².

Letters are printed on 80 g/m² paper by default. You can also use thicker paper and upgrade to 100 g/m² or 120 g/m².

Can I personalize postcards?

Yes. We explicitly recommend it. Customers appreciate being addressed personally on a postcard, and it can positively surprise them. This increases the advertising impact of your card and often leads to the card being kept, for example on the fridge.
