Credit card payment

With a credit card you pay campaigns, automailings and API flows without credit. When booking, you pick a saved card and agree that each mailing's final amount is paid with it. Until then nothing is reserved or charged. The card is charged when you release the proof: the button names the final amount, for example "Druckdaten freigeben und 920,00 € bezahlen". If you do not release it by the end of the change deadline, the proof is automatically considered released and the final amount is charged. Manage your cards under Settings → Payments & invoice address → Credit card. More on releasing in the PDF approval.

Credit card is the default payment method for new campaigns, automailings and API flows. Each mailing is paid on its own, only when it is released.

Managing cards: Under Settings → Payments & invoice address → Credit card you save cards securely with Stripe, set your default card and remove cards. Saving a card reserves or charges nothing. A card you add in a form shows up there as well.

Booking: The form preselects your default card; you can pick another saved card or add a new one. The choice applies to that campaign only, unless you explicitly save it as your new default card. By saving the campaign with this card you agree that each mailing's final amount is charged to it. Until the mailing is created you can pause or delete the campaign at no cost.

Release and payment: Once quantity and final amount are known, you receive the proof by e-mail. The approval page shows the quantity and the final amount including VAT. Druckdaten freigeben und … bezahlen charges the card; if your bank asks for confirmation, you are sent there. If you do not release by the end of the change deadline, the proof is automatically considered released and the final amount is charged. You then receive a confirmation by e-mail.

If the payment fails: The release stays and printing waits. On the approval page you can retry or pay with another card. A new proof after the payment is released without paying again.

Frequently asked questions

When is my card charged?

Only when the proof is released, with that mailing's final amount. Nothing is reserved or charged when you book or when the mailing is created.

What happens if I do not release the proof?

After the change deadline it is automatically considered released and the final amount is charged. The deadline is in the e-mail with the proof. If you want changes, request them before via "Änderungen anfordern".

My bank asks for a confirmation. What now?

After clicking the release you are sent to your bank and come back afterwards. If you cancel, you can retry on the approval page or pay with another card.

The payment failed. What do I do?

The release stays, but printing waits for the payment. On the approval page you can retry or pay with another card.

Can I stop a campaign at no cost?

Yes. Until the mailing is created you can pause or delete the campaign at no cost; the form shows the date. Paid cancellation after mailing creation is not yet available; settlement of incurred services and the €100 flat fee must be implemented first.

How do I remove a card?

Under Settings → Payments & invoice address → Credit card. Affected campaigns without mailings return to draft at no cost. API flows and campaigns with mailings are paused. While a mailing is still to be charged to the card, pick another card in the campaign first or remove the card after the charge. Running payments block removal.

Does credit card work for Shopify campaigns?

No. Campaigns with a Shopify source are paid by prepayment, credit or invoice.
