Campaign
A campaign is the central sending unit in PostPal: you combine a recipient segment, a postcard design and optional voucher tracking, then define runtime, delivery date and production settings. For classic postcard formats you choose material and optional finishing; for DIN A4 letters the selected design determines whether printing is one-sided or two-sided. PostPal then handles printing, quality assurance and delivery through Deutsche Post.
A campaign is the central sending unit in PostPal. It combines three building blocks into a measurable postcard mailing:
- Segment - who receives the postcard (from Klaviyo or a CSV address list).
- Design - the postcard itself (uploaded print design or created in Postcard Studio).
- Voucher (optional) - individual, trackable codes for attribution.
When creating a campaign, PostPal guides you through a multi-step flow: name - runtime (one-time or continuous) - segment - design - production & shipping schedule - voucher tracking - start. After start, PostPal handles data preparation, printing, quality assurance and delivery through Deutsche Post.
Important choices in the campaign flow:
- Shipping date: You choose a delivery date. PostPal calculates when data preparation, printing, quality assurance and handover to Deutsche Post need to start. For automated campaigns, you also choose the frequency: weekly, monthly or yearly. For yearly campaigns, you additionally define the desired delivery period.
- Material for classic postcard formats: For postcards such as DIN A6, DIN long or DIN Maxi, you choose 300g coated art board, 300g chromo board or 300g recycled board.
- Finishing for classic postcard formats: You choose between no finishing and one-sided matte film lamination. Finishing is optional and helps protect against light surface marks during sorting and delivery.
- DIN A4 letter: For DIN A4, there is no separate material or finishing selection in the campaign. Instead, the selected design format determines whether the letter is printed one-sided or two-sided.
A campaign requires a minimum shipment quantity of 500 recipients. Continuous campaigns keep sending automatically to newly added segment recipients, while one-time campaigns send exactly one batch.
Frequently asked questions
- What do I need to start a campaign in PostPal?
- You need a recipient segment from Klaviyo or CSV, an approved design, a delivery date, production settings and a payment method. PostPal guides you through name, runtime, segment, design, material or DIN A4 variant, shipping schedule and optional voucher tracking.
