One-time vs. continuous
When you create a campaign, you choose between one-time and continuous sending. A one-time campaign sends one batch to the current segment. A continuous campaign repeatedly checks which new recipients have joined since the last run and creates additional mailings from them.
PostPal campaigns can run one time or continuously.
One-time campaign:
- uses the segment at the start time,
- creates exactly one mailing,
- works well for single promotions or seasonal campaigns.
Continuous campaign:
- repeatedly checks for newly added recipients,
- creates further mailings on a schedule,
- works well for lifecycle and reactivation logic.
Both variants need a segment, design, sufficient credit and the minimum shipment quantity of 500 recipients.
